Its been a while since I've been on here...
Since Unit 22, we played yet another Poulner Scout Hut gig, with some local Ringwood bands. We're starting to see a bit of an uprising of young punks in Ringwood, even if they're only just breaking into double figures! We're trying to organise a monthly slot at Ringwood Town Football Club, cos it would be nice to see a bit of a scene starting in Ringwood. We'll let you know about details as soon as it materialises. Almost forgot, we played at the Oomf xmas party at the Joiners, supporting Stu Dent And The Wankers. That was fun.

We've been working (semi-) hard on new material, we've moved into a lot more hardcore punk music, with some skacore. Gigs are coming up again, Oli is organising his Bday party with us,The Oddballs, The SKAts, and The Braggers. That'll be first week of April hopefully.

19th April, we have a gig at The Joiners. Dunno the price, but you can get tickets off any of us. We might have some free seats in cars, if you don't mind hangin' out with or without your wang out in Soton during soundchecks.

Saturday 5th May we are playing at the legendary Poulner Scout Hut, with a few local bands I havn't heard yet. Come on down, it'll only be a couple of quid and proceeds are for charity. Well worth it!

New songs are up here now as well as on myspace, feel free to download, put on MP3 players, play to others etc... share the music!

I'll have a trawl thru for any recent pics... apart from that, I'll probably type something else here again in about 6 months! Till then, be merry!

Oo oo loook another update!
Not much went on thru August, cos we all went on holiday at different times.
However, we did play at Battle of the Bands at school this year. We won last year, so this year we got to play a 10min set at the end, whilst the judges deliberated. The standard from the competing bands was way better than last year, I think there were 14 altogether. Matt Black won, and they blates deserved it. Because of the mayhem last year, the school called in a couple of police bods to prevent a riot!

We played a gig with The Extinguishers last Tuesday at Unit 22 in Southampton. We managed to get the place well packed out with the Ringwood crew and the Bomo punks. The headlining band (not to be mentioned) was shit, but it was a good ol' skank apart from that.

No future stuff to report, so I'll give you a few pics from BotBs, taken by Alex Catt and Jonny Fleetwood.

Pics of The Unit 22 gig to come shortly....

We supported Graveltrap at The Joiners on Sunday. It was a really good gig overall, well done to everyone who came (although I wasn't too sure about the whacked-out short guy who decided to try and take over the show....). Here's a few pics . . .

Well then . . . last Saturday's gig at Benedict's Bar went OK I guess. It's a shame that we couldn't have more people turn up, but it hotted up towards the end. We plan to organise another gig with The Oddballs, probably in Ringwood - watch this space.

Meanwhile, it's onto pestering Red Rooms to try and get a regular under-18s night - failing that, we'll just have to keep searching for a venue where we can get some local gigs for local bands going more often. It would be got to get a decent punk scene going in Ringwood . . . it's not going to happen by itself though, so your support is needed!

That's all for now. If you can't see us, email us or check out SeeTickets or Ticketmaster to buy tickets for The Joiners' gig, listed above.

News from the last month and a half . . .

Our 8-track CD is (finally) finished!  It's only £3, so try and get to one of the band members, or send us an email if you want one.  You can listen to a few of the tracks on our Myspace.

The Strings&Skins Battle Of The Bands went well - unfortunately, we didn't get through.  Was a very nice new venue tho . . .

We also played a gig at Greyfriars in Ringwood.  It was brilliant to see so many people packed into such a small space!  Yeah, the crowd was excellent - well done - it's just a shame that the organisers were shit.  I don't think that the Year 10s raised much money for their trip, (and to be honest, they probably didn't really deserve to ) - they kicked us off 1/3 of the way through our set, then asked us if we wanted to play again after the last band because they had more time to fill. Duh . . .

Anymore news?  Well, Oli shaved off his mohawk, but you all knew that anyway.  We're all out of school now, and we're all skateboarding as well!

We're playing Heat 1 of a Battle Of The Bands at Twisters in Bournemouth.  We've got a 15 minute set in which we're gonna cram as many songs as we can.  Its on Monday 24th April, come along, bring as many people as you can: its only £3 and there'll be loads of bands there.

New(ish) song The JFK Conspiracy is up for download. (Right-click, Save Target As . . .)  If you like it, whack it onto your MP3 player or whatever tickles yer fancy, cos it helps us if you get loads of people to listen to it.  Enjoy, anyway.

Also, the band, pics, and gear sections have been newly overhauled.

Update from Calum:

Bransgore gig went really well: in the words of rentboy, it was "a riotous occasion!"  If you weren't there, you missed out.

Riffs was ok, but the crowd was mostly emo (ie: they'd rather sit in a corner and cry than listen to some decent music). Cheers to everyone who came and did get into it, it would've been crap without ya  .

You can judge for yourselves whether our music is decent or not by either going to our Myspace, (3 songs up) or by clicking "listen to our music" (duh) on the left <<<-------------------

We've got no gigs coming up until the summer right now, (apart from a possible tour in Easter - watch this space) so get in touch with us if you wanna book us.

We're headlining at Riffs, Ferndown THIS SATURDAY 25th Feb 7:30.  Be there, cos its gonna be a riot!

Update from oli for a change. cant be arsed to put up any pictures but there will be some soon have a look on the AP myspace for the lastest pictures an info an all that stuff. songs are comin but due to people being ill an all that its taking ages to mix it all.

saturday 25th Feb 2006, we're playing at Riffs' (Ferndown).  Starts at 7.00 - put it in your diary. (not that anybody actually has one . . .)

Ooooohh look - an update to the site!  Well, we played like a huge heap of steaming german poop at New Years Eve, but the party was awesome anyway.  The party at the Scout Hut, however, was great!  I'm sure we'll be playing there again before too long (get your skankin boots on people ). . . I'll try and get hold of some pics to put up here.

We will be playing at Chris Andrews' Party on New Years Eve with his band, Only Human.

We have also arranged a gig at 1st Poulner Scout Hut with Ameba and Peer Pressure on 14th January - its supposed to be invite only, so contact us on the forums for more details.
